Default Robart air valve question?

I have a 2 needle air valve for my retracts buried in the fuse of my plane, with access holes for adjusting the valves. The retracts are not working smoothly, but I can't remember which way to turn the valves, to speed up or slow down. I'm not sure either if I have a leak. Any help? Bill
