Default RE: Bipes no harder than monoplanes?

I have a 1/6th scale Waco Biplane that is a great flying aircraft. However, takeoff is much different than anything else I own. I found that I must keep the tail pinned until I reach flying speed, then slowly let the elevator to neutral and allow her to take off own her own, as she does quite well. Rudder turn to down leg and it's off to the races. I have her powered with a Super Tigre 90 2 stroke. This is a beautiful airplane both in the air and on the ground. Down the road I plan to build a radial powered Giant Scale PT-17 Stearman. Good luck with your efforts.
