When I started this hobby it was with a gift from my grandfather. I got a stick and tissue Piper Cub with maybe an 18 inch wingspan. It took several weeks to complete using Ambroid glue. I think I could get one done now in a couple of hours using CA. I would like to start my son in planes and I think these would be the perfect thing. I did a quick search of the internet, but I can't seem to find anything like that available.
