Default Texas Hurricane firewall problems.

Bozwth,

1. I used 3 dowels on each side only.

2. The dowels are inserted 1/2 into the fire wall.

3. The carbon balsa panel part# LP-26C was $10.00.

4. Yes I used 30min epoxy. I did drill a series of 1/16 holes in the panel under the triangle stock for better adhesion.

5. So far it has held up well. It seems very strong.

6. I did use epoxy on all surfaces.

7. It is fitted between the side braces.

8. I did use cloth over the triangle stock.

I also dilled the mount holes in the carbon fire wall installed dowels and then re-drilled so that the wall does not crush when tightening the mount bolts.
If you decide to go this route you will have to get a jig saw blade also from the carbon panel supplier part# T-01 $5.75.

Hope this helps.

Lenny.
