It's the same everywhere eventually dude. Some boards have 12 and 13 year olds posing as adults and will argue ANYTHING! Other boards have "Pros" who "know" everything and will tell you so. Some boards allow friends of Mods to get away with anything and everything, while others get banned for questionable comments.
I have found it is best to find the board that suits you and just grin and bear it when someone argues, disagrees, or one ups you. You will never win and unless you enjoy arguing it is pretty senseless anyway.
There is always something new to learn, even if you have been at it since the 60s maybe even more so if you have been at a long time, there are always new products good & bad introduced into the market.

As far as glue, I have some tires/rims that were glued 4 years ago and still have not broke a bead. Other tires/rims never seem to stay on, and one set comes off or loose once a year or so. My thought here is, it maybe the tire compound and the glue don't go well together, but who knows?
