Default RE: How to use flap in 9C flaperon function?

Dave has done a wonderful job explaining it.

Are you running seperate flaps and ailerons? You seem to be coming back to

1. this means use aileron as flap or not ? becuase of ALT2 use for ch6 same as flap channel.
2. Which event can I need to use flap in flaperon function?
3. if I did not used flaperon function and airbrake function, How can I control flap durling landing period?
4. Can I use flaperon function and airbrake in same time or not? If can,How to use them?
The ailerons are never "not flaps" and vice versa with flaperons or spoilerons. They are just centered for normal flight. The amount of flaps decreases each side equally through the computer mix. In the null setting they are no different than just ailerons.

I do it a little different. I run my control to the VR(E) paddle on the right hand side ("Slider E") so I don't have to take my eyes off the model on approach. It's very easy to center and even "beeps" to let me know when I've zeroed the flaps/spoilers. I use Switch C to choose whether I want the elevator mixed in. On high wing sport planes I find using the ailerons as spoilers (lifting both sides) gives me a steeper approach without the ballooning effect of flaps. I'm not sure if that is what you meant as "air brakes" - which could be split flaps or inner/outer ailerons set-up for CROW throws. My Contender has an apron flap/airbrake and when combined with spoilerons it REALLY drops the model. Very unnecessary, but fun to play with. I set the gear retracts switch (it has fixed gear) to lower the flap.

I highly recommend the Harry Higley book on programming the 9C. [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFJZ7&P=ML]Programming the 9C - Tower Hobbies[/link] It has lots of images which may help you wade through the Futaba manual. Even though that's written in english I can't digest half of what it contains.

I'm still amazed what they built into the 9C. Mine is the pre-Super model.
