You can see where they beefed up the chassis plates in that key area. the holes are much smaller...but at that point, i'd wonder why they were there in the first place?

You know d_amn well I never said a T-MAXX is tougher than a Savage X. Now that you bring it up though, I'm not so sure.. 'Course, when you say "Savage X", what you mean is a "half Savage X", basically rebuilt from the ground up with all kinds of new bits and pieces to overcome the X flaws - and YES, much more of this is necessary than was previously..
In any case, what I said was, as long as an RTR X basically needs a total rebuild right away, then it makes about as much sense as a T-MAXX.. And no, I don't for one second think it's unrealistic to expect a Savage to be tough out of the box - which is what you were insinuating oh-so-subtly with your U2 comment..
