I will need to look at my radio to answer your question about FLP1/FLP2.
I think you will learn more on this site than you will in a book or magazine.
The longer the aileron the more aileron response you will get. So a full length aileron makes the plane roll faster.
It is hard to suggest a plane to you with out knowing your skill level. If you will tell me what kind of plane you are flying. Then send me a few choices of what plane you want to buy. Maybe I can tell you what one will be the best. Most people try to make to big of steps when picking a second plane. So try to not get to wild.
