Default RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Hi all, I put the soda straws on the wing tip, I used 6mm id straws. I cut the trailing edge to match the wing, the leading edge 90 degrees. The length matched the wing. It definately changed the turn rate. It flies well, but is a pig to turn after the first turn. A full wing version might help you take one turn tighter, but if you don't unload the air trapped in the straw via straight flight all other turns get tighter, and some flight commands get ignored. This obviously can create problems. I do think it is worthy of more experipentation. This experiment was on a stirstick mono mod. If you have a mono mod not tied to the body(toothpick and stirstick mods are tied to the body) Give it a shot, the body of the plane may allow more pendulum and let it be more controlable.

I'll keep tinkering with this. I think it might be helpful in the wind.
