C-160 Transall
I know this is a late response to this thread but I currently own a GSP C-160 transall and I love it.
I had a radio failure on my second flight and the wing was split in two, fortunatley one of thier re-sellers is a member of my field.
I did pay through the nose for the wing but I was able to have a replacement wing with in a week or so. I want to say $150-170 but I can not remember excactly.
As far as the plane is concerned, extremely cheap hardware, just discard all of the hardware and buy your own wing bolts etc...
the landing gear: put some nice scale wheels on the outside and leave the original wheels for the inside.
You will want to use your own epoxy on the wood servo/landing gear mounts as a real tuff landing will break their "hot glue" free.
This plane is so fun to fly and land that it may be worth the extra headace that comes with it.
It just needs a little extra care and glue.
Allways a show stopper.
I am running 2 os 25fx with "Max mufflers" (black one piece) and it is way too much power. If I were to do it again I would use 4 strokes. The plane is very, very light.
I do have the ramp in the back and that makes it even more fun.
I deploy a rc tank with parachute.
