Default C-160 Transall

Nemesis4u,

I hate to admit it but I do not have a dig. camera. But I do have buddies and I will work on it (see if I can get pics by the weekend)

As far as the ramp is concerned, I just cut out the outline of the ramp door, I used a bomb bay door hinge. (I will have to get manufacture names later.) The hinge is black and it has a lever attached that moves the door hinge up and down. I used a throtle wire push rod set up and ran the tube back to where the rudder servo mounts and made a crude mount for a mini servo (metal gear).

When I decided to do the ramp I realized, do to CG issues, I would need to cut out the main support connecting the servo mounts/landing gear mounts (one in the same) so that I could get the tank/or other cargo far enough in the plane to keep balance issues to a min.

You should and will need to re-epoxy all mounts inside the plane. (This is where the company went cheap and used what looks like hot glue) After I cut the back wood support between the servo mounts, and still in the mod stage, I was flying and bounced her a bit hard and busted out the mounts, minor prob and I should have epoxied it myself to begin with.

The tank is the Kyosho, Abrams M1 (cant remember the scale).
Only complaint is the range of the radio. You need to get the plane pretty close for it to work. On the runway it is no problem, so you can still get some real fun out of it if you do a touch and go and try and back the tank out at the same time. ( have not tried that yet )

Otherwise if you can land the Tank on the runway or close enough it can be real cool to drive the tank back.

This plane is perfect for using as a heavy lift plane. It is so light and I never fly over half throttle. I was looking at one of the RC skydivers as well.

Sorry to report no pics. but I will work on it by the weekend.
