I hear you,thats why for the most part I dont do the tail touching unless its calm. The wind will definately knock the Do out of hovers& harriers. That is one of the draw backs to small planes,I think 30-40% will handle wind and 3-D better. I say if you can hover/harrier 10ft., you can do it lower,its just a matter of how much risk you are willing to take. I've paid a price to get DOD,lost several planes and banged up many other times. I will say it was worth it only if it stops at some point,hope I'm there now.
Thats another good point for the Do,fairly low pucker considering the price.
