The Slow-V and SlowStik are good choices. So is the Aerobird Challenger. The PZ J3 Cub is an intermediate plane; not a good plane for a beginner. A much better choice is the HobbyZone SuperCub; one of the best beginner planes currently available.

If you don't like any of the above, you can also check out the T-Hawk, EasyStar, SkyFly, Red Hawk and Beaver. (But I suggest that you get the SuperCub - the best looking and best flying of all of these.)
