Well, the Heng Long is a great tank for the money (great bang for buck) but I would not say building is part of the ownership or aquisition of a HL. It's more like deconstruction and re-building if that's your thing. Then, in that sense, they can be built.

If you want to build (or to be precise, assemble) a Tiger tank, then you will want to consider the pricey Tamiya Tiger I which by its very nature is a kit.

Heng Long tanks are great first tanks (even last tanks).
