Default Programming 9C

Bax / Krysta

Just got my first electric sailplane and to keep sticks alike across all my planes (gliders), I have set up spoilerons on the throttle stick using the crow/butterfly programme. No problems here.

I have therefore decided to use the VRD slider to operate the throttle. I was a bit concerned because the slider has a centre point rather than one movement like a throttle stick and I wondered what the ESC would make of it all. No problems though. No motor for about the first 15% or so of movement and then the motor revs up to full power as the slider moves all the way forward.

The sailplane needs some down elevator as the power increases so I decide to mix VRD to elevator. Well what happens is that I get a large amount of up elevator trim as the VRD moves from one extreme, through it's centre point and then the down trim I want as it approaches the other extreme. Logical, I know but I don't want the up trim, just down trim through to 25% of elevator movement or whateve I set up, for when the motor reaches full revs.

I've tried using mixes 6 and 7 to set a curve but they won't let me set VRD as the master.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I'm thinking 'mix offset' but I can't figure it out?

Help wanted please, I can't find the answer in the Futaba FAQ
