Hey guys, Finally got some time to post some pics...... I used a spent rocket motor tube to enclose the wing bolts in the belly pan. On my other Do they kept coming out of the holes and rattling around in the belly pan. This seems to help with that and keeps the screw driver on the head of the screw. Also I used pinned hinges instead of the CA ones. On my previous Do 4 of the CA hinges broke at one time or another. I also made up some carbon fiber linkages for the control surfaces... I totally dorfed up the canopy. [>:] It looked great at first but I put some CA on the screws on the inside of the fuse to keep them from coming out and the CA seeped out and into the canopy causing it to look butt ugly. [>:] Arrrggghhhh. That's why the painted one. I ordered a new one from Tower and I did notice that the one from my dearly departed Funtana looks like it would fit with a little cutting. It's smoked too. [8D] Lastly I tried to remove the yellow swoosh marks starting with the stab. I don't recommend this. [>:] It's not for the faint of heart. That stuff is on there good. It was really difficult to get it off but once I started I was committed.
I got a chance to get some flights with it yesterday.

It seems to fly different than my previous one. The big difference I've noticed is with knife edges. I may have to do some mixing with this one. The last Do did them okay. Not like a profile by any means but okay. This one is much more sensitive and if I don't have the sticks just right, it's all over the place. [X(]
I'll have to work on the set up. All in all I'm glad I got the new one.
