ZBolt:: Flying my BCX indoors, and I am noticing my heli goes forward. I am not able to get the heli to go backwards. I play around with the adjustments on the transmitter (trim), but nothing changes, thinking it is the heli. I have changed the upper rotor head and inner shaft 3x along with the stabilizer Flybar 2x in the past due to incidents (outdoors). How do I adjust the Elevator Trimming on the Blade CX (not the transmitter)?
You almost answered your own question. The trim on the TX is for minor trim adjustments. If the heli is significantly out of adjustment, it's the heli you need to adjust.
So, there should be a way to shorten the linakge on the aft servo (elevator). Probably the linkage between servo arm and swash. Shortening this linkage will pull down on the back of the swash ... causing the front of the swash to tilt up. This should give you a little more nose up command. Don't forget to undo some of the TX trim after you trim the heli.
The ideal goal is to set the TX trim to center and do all your adjustments at the heli (or at least as close to center as possble). After that, minor adjustments at the TX can be used.
Remember ... mechanics for real helicopters don't have TX's to tweek on. They make all of their adjustments at the heli ... something to consider when you have a RC heli seems "un-trimmable".
Good Luck,
