If you can fly with those training gear (hover around) then I would get the carbon blades or the the cheap simulated ones to try them out (leave the training gear on). Just don't fly drunk or in bad conditions with your expensive blades on - LOL.
I can stay airborn until the (stock) battery is done. Not pretty, but airborn none the less. My problem is I fly around multi story buildings , so conditions even on calm days can be quite un-predictable. Then when I get in a pinch.... I'm not good enough to recover very quickly. That's when mister helicopter is introduced to mister asphalt.
