Default RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

ORIGINAL: Xtremespeed

Well, I think I'm going to give up on the 22e. I finally got the cnc head right.
replaced all the broken parts again, and learned how to adjust the plt and pit
for my carbon blades. After about a month and a half, I just got the heli
trimmed well enough that I was getting some good hover time. Finally! About
3 packs worth of perfect hovering with little or no adjusting.
Now, last night, the tail starts drifting. I had to trim almost all the way to the right,
to compensate, and then it starts drifting the opposite direction. When I start
sliding the trim back to the left, the heli starts pushing the tail the other way again.
There is no happy medium anymore. Then I notice when I throttle up one time, the
tail rotor doesn't turn. I throttled down and flicked the tail motor with my finger, and
throttled back up again. Now it's spinning, but still won't hold the tail.

Looks like now that I finally ironed everything else out, either the tail motor or the gyro
is going out. I'm sick of these cheap walkera parts. I think I will get a trex or something.
Way to many posts about going seperates and brushless, and everything else.
Only downfall is, I've spent all this money on the cnc head, made a custom carbon tail boom,
and bought carbon main blades. Oh well. At least I learned to hover pretty descent.
But wasn't it less painful to crash and trash the 22e rather than a $400 trex
