Default RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

I have flown several flavors and sizes of Sukhois as well. Others may have differing opinions but I would say that might be a little much as well. Keep in mind that I don't fully know your flying capabilities so I'm generalizing here based on my 20 years of experience. The Sukhoi is a lot different than a Cub and because of it's built in aerobatic capabilities it could be a handful for a less experienced pilot. They are however a blast to fly when you are ready!

As a second plane I would try a less aerobatic (read more stable) low wing plane or maybe an aerobatic high wing plane. If you really want to try the Sukhoi make sure you have your control rates set VERY low and balance carefully so that there is no way in heck you are tail heavy. Like I said... not knowing how you are doing with the Cub and your setup one can't really tell how ready you are for something different. My second plane was a Decathlon and that was a super smooth transition. From there I started flying biplanes (Pitts and WACO... see my gallery) and Sukhois and didn't have a problem. Do a search for second planes and see what else you can dig up. I'm just one voice and there are more options and opinions out there. [8D]
