RE: gas fuel with glo plug no ignition
A couple of years ago I sold a ST 3000 for a friend here on RCU. It was a Ralph Cunningham custom with a roller bearing rod, ignition, the whole works (Ralph can provide more info on this if he is following this forum). Apparently he bored the crank end of the rod and installed a roller bearing, then turned down the crankpin and pressed-fit a hardened steel sleeve over it. I don't remember if anything was done on the small end of the rod. As I recall, it was set up to run a 32:1 gas/oil mix.
