I have a PST600 in a trim f-86. The installation is fully ducted. I have now fully sorted and tested the aircraft. Even though my sabre weighs 17lbs dry, I limit the max. rpm to 155K. I get slightly improved fuel economy and slightly reduced power.

I almost always fly from grass, and I can assure you that even with a take off weight of 20lbs+, my sabre easily takes off from a less than perfect grass runway(at 155K rpm). I like to fly the plane fast, but I can also cruise around the skies at reduced power if I prefer.

I believe advantages of using this turbine(as opposed to larger turbines at derated power)are, reduced fuel consumption, lower installed weight, reduced size of bypass diameter, reduced wing loading...
