fuel consumption is higher with the webra, yes.

the ability to draw fuel from the tank, ie the "suction" power of the carb is lower though. It's physics, a larger diameter pipe is going to have a lower velocity, and that means less of a pressure differnece to suck fuel from the tank.

So a larger carb throat will allow more air in to the engine, which means it can burn more fuel. But the engine is going to have a harder time getting fuel from the tank, making the fuel system setup more important.
