Default RE: What's the right muffler for my TT 40 pro??

ORIGINAL: Xardas26

Has anybody heard anything about the Tower Hobbies Muffler?? I heard it gives u a performance increase of about 1000 rpm which is pretty awesome considering it only costs lil over 15 bucks!!!
I use the Tower mlfflers on the TT Pro 40 for break-in to let the engine turn up a little more. They do give about 750-1000 more with a 9x6.

The problem is that they are even harder to keep together than the TT Pro 40 muffler is. I have been using [link=http://www.permatex.com/products/automotive/automotive_gasketing/gasket_makers/auto_Permatex_Ultra_Black_Maximum_Oil_Resistance_R TV_Silicone_Gasket_Maker.htm] Permatex® Ultra Black® Maximum Oil Resistance RTV Silicone Gasket Maker[/link] to keep mufflers together. But I have had a couple of Tower mufflers come apart even with the gasket maker. They did not lose any parts, but they did break the seal. I did not use all-thread rod to hold them together. I need to. And I may try JB Weld again instead of the gasket maker.
