I had this same issue but needed 3.5 inch stand off's. You can make some 1/2 inch spacers out of hard wood or order a spacer kit from SWB. They are $20 and include 4 each of 1/16, 1/8, 1/4. and 1/2 inch spacers. I just used the 1/2 inch. Expensive but nice looking and good quality.
