Default RE: FS one by Horizon Hobbies

Riotgear -- FS One is certainly NOT being recalled. I don't want to be disrespectful, but your LHS must be confused somehow. Where do such rumors come from?

One other note: It is always important to determine the full configuration of a demo PC that's showing FS One (or any other RC sim). Sometimes people will say they got a brand new computer, so it *should* be fast enough. This isn't necessarily true. These simulations (G3, FS One, etc) all require a good graphics card, a reasonably fast processor, and a decent amount of memory. In particular, the graphics card is very important. Unfortunately, graphics chip manufacturers don't have a numbering system that clearly indicates the true performance of the graphics card. It is also important that a proper, up-to-date graphics driver is used.

We've tested FS One on three year old computers and it runs very smoothly and at a high frame rate. Just remember that there is a big difference between graphics cards, even for a given manufacturer. Some cards share memory with the CPU -- this is generally not good for performance. Try to avoid those.

I hope this helps when checking a demo of any RC sim.
