Default RE: Teach An Old Dog......

Bicwig:
When I began competing in the year 2000 I've always had someone to call each maneuver inside the box, to remind me of the order of maneuvers and making it easier for the judges to keep scores. An experienced caller is like a security blanket during a contest to help the pilot relax and concentrate on flying. I don't know about everyone else but I still get nervous in front of judges. The caller also assists in carrying your aircraft to the runway prior to takeoff and retrieving it after it has landed, rolled out and come to stop under control.

Hope you're practicing the new 2007 sequence. I recommend practicing with a caller. By the way, all classes will be flying one sequence per round at our contest in December.
