One thing to keep in mind when "flight testing" aircraft in any RC sim:
As we all know, expo and dual rate settings can really make a plane "feel" differently. Be sure to verify that your control throws behave as expected. Spins and high-alpha 3D maneuvers are, of course, effected greatly by how much the control surfaces are being deflected and by the expo setting.
The TacCon controller, with stock Tx configurations, typically supports "flight modes" on the top right 3-position toggle, often with a low rate and high rate/3D setting, as well as custom mixing. When using your own Tx, you can either setup your Tx to handle expo and D/R as desired or can use the Edit Transmitter menu to configure a "software radio", with full control over Tx settings. You'll see a big difference in performance/handling as Tx settings are modified, just like your real model at the field.
When I flew the Edge, I had it on 3D rates most of the time. There should have been plenty of throw to throw the plane into a nice spin. Expo shouldn't have changed any spin characteristics as I had the sticks at full deflection. The CG was really far forward and this could have changed the spin characteristics. This IS an Edge though and maybe that's the problem.....................
