I think the "nothing" posts will always be a part of forum discussions. Even a building thread usually turns out to be more like a conversation at the flying field than a technical manual. Like most things in life, there are pros and cons to your idea. Having an uncluttered resource to reference would be nice. Deciding who gets to edit threads and dealing with disputes over what got deleted would be a nightmare.
