Default RE: New Tire/Wheel Combo

Yes, the wheels are a lot smaller, 2.2". The stockers are 3". So far so good! This tire/wheel combo ROCKS! I can't even believe how much better they hook up, and as far as jumps, very nice indeed. One thing I did notice, and actually expected, is that it rolls a bit easier now on certain surfaces. Like I said, I expected it seeing there's way more bite with these tires and they have more sidewall play, 1 1/4", than the stockers, which had just over 3/4".
One thing about these wheels is that you need to use the supplied washer to make the axle fit properly. The rim is universal, so it has a larger center hole and comes with an adapter kit to fit many vehicles. With the washer installed the nylon part of the wheel nut doesn't quite thread on all the way, so I LocTited them on. I would have to do this everytime I switched wheels, so unless I'm exclusively street driving I'll just leave them alone. When you want to drive, you just want to drive. You don't want to wait around for LocTite to set up! I suppose you could speed up the process with a hair dryer, but I don't usually carry one around with me...
