RE: gas fuel with glo plug no ignition
The Katana flies super and I love it. That Echo/Kioritz 23.6cc engine is all hopped up and turns an APC 16 x 8 prop at over 9000 rpms. I don't do 3D, but the vertical with it is basically unlimited. The Echo engines are a real good choice for the smaller planes, because they are light and powerful. I don't even use a backplate with them. I just put studs in the holes in the back of the engine, and the studs go through the firewall with washers and nuts on back. It's a little tough to get at the nuts on some planes, but usually possible. I did use aluminum angles to mount the Echo on the Katana however, to get it far enough forward without having a long prop adapter. I thought the aluminum angle mounts looked heavy once I had them done, but when I weighed them they were a few ounces lighter than the regular motor mounts that came with the plane!
