If it were me, i'd build the standard two float setup and just attach them to your existing gear. Then run some wires on the back of the foats to keep them level. I flew my sig fazer on floats last year and was able to do all the usual 3d stuff and aerobatics(knife edge really hard) with floats attached. Hovering and such just took a little more power.

Be sure and make your own floats to fit the plane, and don't make them any bigger than needed so you cut down on weight. Also, don't fiber them or sheet them to save weight. Just wrap them in some packing tape and fly!
