Spektrum uses the same basic case design as the some of the JR radios. I do not know if the rest of the mechanicals are the same as JR.
JR just showed a new 12 channel radio at the Japan Hobby Show in Tokyo today. It appears to be a combination of the JR 9303 and JR 10X. It is also said to be on "A PCM", whatever that means. Anyway, it looks real good and could be just what the is needed. Now if it is available with SS or use an aftermarket module setup, that would raise the ante. Hopefully, the pricing will be similar to the JR 10X.
I think it is obvious that the Spektrum units are made by JR, as to how much input in the
design Horizon had we may never know. but in any case that not really that importaint.
From what i have read here on the univ from those that have the Spektrum units the
programing is the same as the JR 662 and so are the inside parts.
