Default RE: Overall differences between Bandit ARF and Super Bandit composite?

Hi there,

I have both but the arf is still in build at the moment. The Composite S.B will certainly take the bigger engine and looks a lot stronger than the arf. There have been a few cost and complexity savings on the arf like no main gear doors, lesser quality oleos, no kevlar centre tank and no smooth stop which along with a airframe thats made in thailand or there abouts is how they are selling it at a reasonable price. BVM are marketing the arf as a small engine, light weight plane which it certainly is.The arf I estimate would take me about 60 hours to get in the air but the S.B I would say is more like 200 at least. So, If you want a high powered out and out speed machine that has no chance of failing in flight ( unless you do something rediculus) then the composite S.B is the way to go But if you want a nice flying plane that takes a lot less time to assemble, light and takes the smaller engine then go the arf route.
