Evolution 45GX2 prop bolts
Just received an Evolution 45GX2 engine and I'll be doing some engine testing for a report in the magazine.
There are 6 bolts around the prop hub and a stout looking center bolt with an equally stout looking nut in the center.
I use the same props on all my engine tests and I'd rather not drill holes in several of them just for this engine.
What are your feelings about just using the center bolt and nut, and not using the 6 outer bolts?
The engine will only be run on a test stand and other than a 30 minute break-in, most power runs will be 60 seconds or less.
Once I find a "good " prop, I'll buy a new one, drill it for the 6 bolts and use it on the 2 planes I have for review also
