I called ace r/c customer service. They cheerily told me the product (finger protector) was discontinued due to lack of demand and they sold their last one in 2000. I'm thinking they made those things too well. I just now wore out the one I bought in the mid '70s.

Guess I'll try to make a substitute from something in a Hardware or auto parts store. I think I'm going to miss that nicely rounded tip, though.

I wonder if I can make a mold and cast a new one. I'll have to go over to Tap Plastics and see if that can be done.
