The tail motor spins to counter act the spin of the main rotor. It doesn't spin both ways, just on or off with throttle in between. If you move the stick to 9, then it will spin counter clockwise. If you move it to 3 then it will fly clockwise. The tail rotor goes really fast, 4-5 times faster than the main blades, so if you trim the tail off, then the helicopter will naturally spin CCW.

I need to go to bed I am wore out, but that confused me even more, So Okay, does the tail motor spin each way or just one way, it would have to sping backwards to go to the left and forard to go right ( think thats right) so i guess it only works when there needs to be input.
