Default Help with TX programming.

I am about to build my heli, and I was wondering at what point do you program the TX with the servo's in the procedure.
At what point do you start changing the settings in the TX regarding end points and curves ?
Do you install the servos in the heli as per instructions and adjust the links and angles while the TX is in a linear curve and end points at 100 %, and when this is done you go into the specifics in the radio at the end of the building procedure ?

I am a little confused because as I was reading the raptor technique it was mentioned that everything has to be at 100% first in the TX, because it would mess up the programming later.
But then, when do you actually go into the programming and adjust your settings with your curves, and also adjust the different endpoints of travel and throttle ?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are wondering I am using a Futaba 8UH with a new Hawk 30 and also I am upgrading my Dragonfly 36 with brushless motor, Hitec receiver and servos and I got a crystal to match the radio as I will be using the same for both Helis.

By the way, the TX should be in PPM or PCM mode ? I am pretty sure I can figure this out from the manual but I thought to ask.
