that looks pretty nice but with the baja i think the pipe will need to be welded to the flange? maybe thats a sign to make my next one out of 6061
From what I understand, steel pipes are suppose to work a touch better than alluminum pipes (but aluminum is soooo cool IMO). You can easily make your pipe fit, because it is srtraight. Ya just need to weld on a couple of spring loops on the pipe header section, and try to make at least two pipe mounts to hold the pipe. You might be able to get away with one pipe mount (peds do), but two is just a personal preference of mine. I use Permatex "Ultra Black" to seal the pipe to the manifold, and let it cure for at least a day before starting the engine, or it will most likely make a burnt oil mess on your header section. You can get two stiff tension springs from your local hardware store to tie the manifold to the pipe (note the four holes on the flange of the manifold), really cheap. If you build it, shoot us some pics.
