I have run mine with the slipper tighten all the way up for over 6 gallons and most with the Savage run it that way. If it is not new I am guessing it has run with out problems with the stock shoes. So I am guessing you are not getting the mesh and aliment correct. Sorry to say some have problems with this. How long have you had the truck? Did you buy it used? Do you loctite the motor moung screws?
