I have the ST51. Easy to start, never need to play with the needle. Idles for minutes without loading up, and then transition is right now. Best props- APC 12x4, 12.25x3.75, 11x5. Zinger 12x5 pretty good also. Had mounted it inverted and sideways, it didn't care and ran the same.
I hate the muffler though. Retired the engine partly due to my hatred of the muffler, partly because I wanted to try other engines. I did get the Macs one piece muffler, hope the power is the same.
