when going offroad you can't go cheap as the deamnds are too high for the cheap materials that are used on those buggies.. you may get away with the cheap onroads but you can't with offroad...Slightest jump will break something.

I just bought a Smartech Vanguard Sports with the .21CXP motor and am still waiting on it to arrive. What is wrong with this car? From what I understand, it is a pretty good car and a good RTR deal for non-serious racers such as me, but the parts are hard to get. I am new at the nitro cars. Is there anything I can do to make this a more durable or better vehicle now that I have already bought it? I almost bought the Matrix, and after looking around quite a bit, I can see from some of the components and the radio and servos, why it costs more. Maybe I will bash this one for a while and then switch to that one. I just could not afford it right now, and didn't know what was good and what was not. Thanks guys
