ORIGINAL: Redwings

I did not have any software loading issues except the long time it took to load into my computer. Even loading a plane and scene to fly take more time then the competitors do. I feel the product on a reliability standpoint is fine but it is just very cumbersome to work with. Using the Kiss method was never thought of when they developed the adjustments and other menus. 1 to 10 on a user friendly scale it is about a 3!
Load times for picking aircraft, flying sites, skyscapes and transmitters would be a lot quicker if we just presented a list of names (of planes and sites, etc) like the competitors do. Instead we show the list with pictures of all the aircraft , sites, etc. We think this approach is better ... because it leads to less poking around through nested menus. Second the load time for picking an airplane is long only the first time. After that the images are in memory and it goes real fast. When the sim starts the extra time for loading is due to aerodynamics. We load A LOT of aero files, and obviously that's not something we can do without. Load times also depend on the size and speed of the drive. Laptops run slower and smaller drives (smaller diameter discs) so they are slow. Drives on desktops are better - but they too come in a variety of flavors. I'll say ... if we could make things go faster we would.
