I went from an LT-40 to the 4*60 a couple of years ago. I love both aircraft. however I feel that a high wing trainer is the way to start.
I remember that there was a difference the first time I flew my 4*. It seemed like the 4* stayed where you put it more than a trainer would.
I have been an instructor for a while now, I could teach on a 4*. it would take longer to solo but it could be done. I wouldn't recommend it though.
