Thanks for the reply EyeKandy. I usually run in the lake at my cottage. Even in sheltered areas where the water appears reasonably calm the slight swells have flipped my bass boat on a few occasions.

I like the idea of the BBY advanced kits because they include everything I need to assemble it. I don't have to worry about matching the hull to the right hardware, whether the motor and speed control are right for the hull and each other. It's a proven setup to my understanding.
