RE: SV27 Props
I tested a Prather 215 stainless, sharpened, balanced and polished. It was a pretty massive letdown; It cavitated about the same as the stock prop, and was *much* slower. If you ask me, it's too small.
That was on a pair of 6-cell brick pack Intellect 4200s.
I'm having a hard time finding a Prather 220; nobody has them in stock. I've had one on backorder from Offshore forever, it seems.
The 225 is too much prop; I have one, balanced, sharpened, polished it and ran it for a whopping 1-2 minutes. Loads the motor down *way* too much, and even with my boosted up cooling, the motor was warm to the touch even after a short run.
