Default unloaded rpm

When running RPM checks on a test stand, or when the plane is restrained, does not indicate the actual RPM's the the motor will be turning when it is in the air. The indicated RPM on a restrained motor is lower. The RPM's that the motor will see in the air will be higher and are known as the "unloaded" RPM's. This is my understanding anyway.
