Default RE: what a difference a prop makes - DA50

Two things happend with your change of prop:

1) The Mejzlik 22x8 has slightly smaller paddles than the Menz 22x8 , that's why it turns 500 more static peak RPM's than the Menz 22x8.

2) You Mejzlik is a more efficient prop since the pitch does not flatten out at higher RPM's, so you get a about pound more of thrust.

Go with the Mejzlik 23x8 and it will be perfect. 7400 might be a little noisy. DA says that the perfect prop for a broken in DA50 is a Mejzlik 23x8. As stated the Xoar is good too (23x8).

ORIGINAL: Ragz

I have been using amsoil 100:1 on my da50 and its seen about 6 gallons until now. Up until yesterday all I had ever used was Menz 22x8 props and was getting about 6900 rpms tops. Now I have changed to a mejzlik 22x8...and rpms have jumped to 7400.... [8D]

Am I seeing things or are CF props like this only? Im amazed at the power now. I get totally unlimited verticals on my 16lbs 27% Colombo extra.
