RE: Spectrum DX-7 ?
OK, let's say that I am EXTREMELY interested.
I have been flying R/C for over 25 years, and have always used Futaba transmitters (with Futaba recievers as well as after market recievers), and have always felt that they (Futaba radios) have always suited my needs best.
About 1 month agao, my Hangar 9 Hellcat was shot down by some *!#*ing idiot who turned on his transmitter on same channel as mine. Someone remarked that it was only an ARF, but it still will cost hundreds of dollars to replace/ repair (Saito .91 was damaged also), not to mention that I put a LOT of time into the custom painted cowl (I painted 'Cat's Mouth' insignia on it).
Anyway, this is the 1st time that I have had one of mine shot down, and I have too much time and money invested in my other warbirds to risk loosing another that way.
SO, I am ready for a change.
2 questions:
1) Are Futaba servos compatable with this system? I am thinking of switching some of my aircraft over to this system, but do not want to remove all the servos to install different ones. I realize that I will need new recievers, but I will also need to replace all of my servos?
2) Is a 9 (or more) channel version on the horizon? I currently have a Top Flite Corsair which uses/ needs all 9 channels on my 9CAP, and am in the process of building a Jemco SBD which will need all 9 channels.
