Default RE: Please help with buying a car/truck. (Reward offered for help)

I would exclude the T4 as it's very low and made to live on a track and will not take as much abuse or have the most desired performance on choppy ground. The savage x is descent in the fact that it's tough and is pretty fast, but not a rocket. It may break your budget after radio gear and fuel though. I believe the TXT best fits your needs. It's in kit form like you want, and it's a tamiya kit. Tamiya has probably the best instructions and most enjoyable kits build wise. That specific truck it large to tackle terrain and is tough as nails. Stock it will out terrain almost any stock truck out there minus the category of speed. Don't get m wrong though, with a descent motor /battery combonation it's a very fun truck. It's also capable of 4 wheel steering and has tons of possible modifications ranging from a racer with a tube or carbon fiber chassis, to a full bore rock crawler. This is a good combo for a txt-1 and descent speed. It it 100 dollars below budget, then with a tower coupon it's even better. With the motors listed, you should be able to do 25-30mph. The only other thing I would get is thicker shock oil like 50wt to improve high speed stability as it is solid axle truck after all.

This is just a suggestion, hope it helps with you decision making.
